The First Gokokuji of the Year

Few weeks before I move to my current place, I took a walk exploring the neighbourhood and found out a huge temple called Gokokuji.

I went back there again with my mom after I moved last January and picked an omikuji after praying for a good year ahead (known as hatsumode in Japanese). I got the regular fortune, a step down for last year but well, I believe it's enough for a great year!

Just trying out my camera

This is where people hang the bad luck omikuji, hoping that what's written there won't come true

This one is probably one of my fave photo taken so far!

Afterwards, we went to this steak and cafe called Kennedy at Higashi Ikebukuro. It was new and offering a great del of lunch set. Very cheap and I'm pretty much sure will come back there when I crave for some steak.
