Last month, my friends and I saw Jetstar was having a sale and we spontaneously bought our tickets to Fukuoka!
The flight to Fukuoka was cheap as it was very early in the morning that we wouldn't reach Narita airport even if we took the first train. So we ended up staying all night at the airport, trying to sleep on the airport benches. As it was uncomfortable we ended up looking like zombies who can fall asleep anytime, anywhere for the first second days of our trip.
Fukuoka is located at Kyushu island, the island on the southern part of Japan. It's slightly warmer than Tokyo with much less people! What impress me the most is how close the airport is to the centre of the city, it was just 10 minutes away by subway. Awesome!

After Dazaifu, we went to Yanagawa river, another famous tourist spot.

we took this 70 min boat ride which was fun at first but starting to get boring and chilly after the first 30 min... |
|
A japanese wedding on a boat! We were lucky to spot this |
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
we went to Tenjin at night to have dinner at some stalls nearby the main road as these stalls which only open at night are one of Fukuoka's speciality as well.
